A text label can be either associative or independent.
A text label can consist of a predefined default text, or you can just place an empty text box and type into it.
To place a Text Label with a default Text:
1.Open the Text Label panel of the Label Settings dialog box, and type in your default text.
See Text Label Panel.
2.With the Label Tool active and the Text-type label selected, click to place this text as a label.
To type your own label text into a label text box:
1.Make sure that no default text has been defined in the Text Label Panel of Label Settings.
2.With the Label Tool active and the Text-type label selected, click to place a label with a text box. As with the Text tool, the Text Editor and Formatting Palette will appear.
3.Type any length of text in the text box and click OK in the Control Box to complete the label.
To format individual characters, lines and paragraphs in your label text block, or to insert text symbols, use the controls of the Formatting Palette and Text Editor.
