Connecting Structures

The following is a description of the Connecting Structures tab page of the Custom Settings Panel of Door or Window Settings, from the INT ARCHICAD Library.

Use this tab page to define the main Connecting Structures of the opening.

To set additional, more detailed parameters for any of these structures (e.g. Casing, Sunshade), click the icon at the right of the setting to access the respective tab page, where you will find additional parameters.

Casing

Use the Outside and Inside checkboxes to add Casing to the outer and/or inner side of the opening.

See Casing Outside/Inside Settings.

Ganging

You can align adjacent openings horizontally and vertically with these parameters. You must check these boxes both for this opening and for the adjacent one so that the opening symbol is displayed correctly.

As a result of ganging, the connecting lines between adjacent opening components (e.g. casing, sill, threshold) disappear - as if they were a single unit.

If you use ganging, some other structure options for this opening may no longer be applicable and will be grayed or eliminated.

Threshold/Sill/Board/Sunshade

Check this box, then use the pop-up to choose the desired component for the opening as needed. To set more detailed parameters, click the icon at the right of the setting to access the respective tab page.

See Threshold Settings.

See Sill Settings.

See Board Settings.

See Sunshade Settings.

Custom Corner

Check “Right” or “Left” to add a custom corner to the window.

To set more detailed parameters, click the icon at the right of the setting to access the Custom Corner tab page.

See Custom Corner.
