Shape of the Beam Segment's cross-section as defined in the Beam Settings dialog box.

Ends Surface

Name of the Surface assigned to the two ends of the Beam Segment.

Defined in Beam Settings (via Building Material, or Override in Model Panel)

Area of the Surfaces of both ends of the Beam Segment.

Extrusion Surface

Name of the Surface assigned to the Beam Seg­ment extrusion.

Use with round and profiled beams, which use a single surface on all sides of the extrusion. (Same value as the Left Side Surface parame­ter.)

Left Side Surface

Name of the Surface assigned to the left Side of the Beam Segment.

Defined in Beam Settings (via Building Material, or Override in Model Panel).

"Left" and "Right" are determined based on the direction of the Beam's reference axis. The axis direction is the direction in which you drag the cursor to draw the Beam.
