Correction in Calculation Units dialog
In previous versions, the Calculation Units dialog (Project Preferences) displayed all samples (previews) using the identical, decimal-based example.
In Archicad 26, the sample is displayed using the correct user-selected units (e.g. feet and fractional inches).
Zone Stamp and Reference Point bug fixes
In Archicad 25, when the Zone Stamp was off in the Model View Options, the Zone Stamp could still be clicked on and moved.
This has been corrected in Archicad 26, so that the Zone Stamp can only be clicked on and moved when it is visible.
For automatic zones, the reference point was only visible when the Zone Stamp was on in the Model View Options. This reference point is now also visible when the Zone Stamp is off.
Section/Elevation: Improved handling of overlapping cut fills
When multiple elements collide and overlap in 3D space, their display order is indeterminate and causes flashing geometry - because multiple surfaces share the same space.
Having colliding elements like this is generally not recommended, and elements should be cut to have correct geometry by using commands such as Merge, Trim, or Solid Element Operations.
In earlier Archicad versions, when these colliding elements are cut in Section/Elevation, all fills were drawn and overlapped. Their display order was random, but a user could use display order to change it. However, this display order change was only stored locally for the user. Thus, in a Teamwork project, display order could be different for every user.
In Archicad 26, in these situations, the model generates only one cut fill, and the others are automatically removed. For Zones, these cut fills are always sent to the back behind other model elements to avoid cut Zones hiding other overlapping cut elements.
Custom Dimension Text Handling
In some situations, dimension points could move or switch positions after a change in view or Model View Options. Custom text and their position could revert back to their default Measured Value and position (even though the custom text is still stored in the dimension text settings, and even though custom formatting, such as color, were maintained.)
As of Archicad 26, custom texts and their positions are maintained by default.
