An element is locked in any of these cases:

It is on a locked Layer.

You have locked it by command (Edit > Locking > Lock)

It is part of a Hotlink Module or XREF.

Locked elements cannot be edited.

Grouped

Hotlink Module or XREF

Elements are locked and cannot be edited.

Editable hotspots
(certain GDL Objects)

Grab the hotspot to graphically edit the object (e.g. open or close the door).

Morph

A selected Morph has only a single (black) hotspot, which represents the point of its elevation value; but all other nodes/corners are also editable.
