Relink elements to a different Option

Suppose you have added some Walls to an Option, and you decide that they should be part of the Main Model instead. You can relink these elements to the Main Model.

Use one of the following:

•Design Options palette

•Element settings.

•Element schedule

Note: You can only relink elements that are editable. Non-editable (locked) elements won’t be relinked. Check the palette or dialog feedback to make sure your selected elements are editable.

Using Design Options palette

1.Select the elements to relink.

2.In the Design Options palette, click on “Main Model”, which is where you want to link the elements to. The green highlight shows that the selected elements currently belong to the “Open” Option.

3.Click Relink. The elements now belong to the Main Model.

Using element settings

1.Select the elements to relink.

2.Open the element Selection Settings dialog.

3.In the Classification and Properties panel (at Design Options - Option Status), choose the desired Option, or Main Model.

4.Click Choose to relink the selected elements.

You can relink a design option status in the element schedule too:
