Optimizations to build up wastewater systems
Design of wastewater systems can be complex. MEP Designer has simplified the process with built-in optimizations for faster, more accurate modeling. Now it’s easy to create different types of pipe connections in Section/Elevation viewpoints, as well as 3D.
Connection options for fittings are suggested automatically, depending on the angle at which the pipes are connected. Check each proposed connection geometry visually, and toggle among them using the TAB key.
Change slope of multiple connected routes
New command selects all horizontally connected routes - so you can easily change their slopes simultaneously.
Automatic elbow-to-branch conversion
When adding a new pipe route segment starting from an existing elbow, the elbow is automatically converted into a tee or branch fitting. This conversion works even if the new pipe has a different diameter from the existing one.
Easily insert branches
Quickly add branches to an existing pipe route, with customizable cross-section sizes and slopes that you can adjust on the fly.
Replace by two bends
This built-in command saves you work and ensures standard-compliant modeling: change any bend into two bends a certain distance apart, in just a few clicks.
For example, when modeling a gravity drainage system, the standard may require route direction to be changed via two 45° bends instead of a single 90° bend. This improvement makes it easy.
