Basic electrical power system design

MEP Designer introduces foundational electrical design capabilities that let you model and document a building's power distribution directly within your BIM environment. Place the new electrical panels and devices and organize them into named circuits that reflect real-world power distribution logic. The electrical load object is available as a flexible early design object (e.g., to represent light fixtures).

Centralized Electrical Project Settings give you control over load classifications, wiring types, and voltage value for the main supply. While this initial release focuses on schematic-level planning rather than full wiring or load calculation, it delivers practical day-to-day value. Circuits are visualized on floor plans with MVO-controlled display and can be listed in schedules. Panels and devices can be labeled and scheduled through the Interactive Element Schedule, and IFC classifications ensure your electrical elements export with correct semantic meaning.

This feature set represents a first, experimental step toward electrical design, so you can start modeling and documenting a building’s power distribution in BIM. This is a foundational development, with no commitment yet to preserving compatibility in future releases.
