Load Handling in Structural Analytical Model
To enable Architects and Structural engineers to collaborate without data loss, ARCHICAD’s Structural Analytical Model now supports Loads and load-related data. These are also available via SAF format.
During roundtrips, Load-related information is retained in the BIM model and accessible at any time - not only through the ARCHICAD environment, but also in the engineer’s preferred SAF-compatible analysis software. Load data not recognized by ARCHICAD is still retained in the SAF-based roundtrip: you won’t lose any data when reimporting the SAF file to the structural analysis program.
•Visualize and modify Load elements in the Structural Analytical Model.
•View and manage Load-related modifications via Model Compare and Issue Handling.
•You can also place new Load elements (Point, Line, Surface) in ARCHICAD. Data for Load Cases, Groups and Combinations can be defined in ARCHICAD.
Streamlined Load management with flexible Load Case visualization
As of AC25 Update, a new palette plus new Load Case options in View Settings let you visualize and manage any or all Loads in the project at once, regardless of Load Case.
It's now easier to manage Loads for the project as a whole. Visualize, modify or delete Loads for the whole project in a single operation, instead of for each Load Case.
Your roundtrip workflow with structural engineers also gets easier: when importing a structural engineer's Load data, the Model Compare process now lets you compare Loads in any pair of views, including all Load Cases at once.
New Load Case Palette
•Set the visible Load Case easily (no need to open additional dialogs)
•Show or hide any or all Load Cases at once
•Load Case Palette appears by default in “Structural” work environments
•Replaces previous Load toggle button
“Show All Loads” view option for streamlined Model Compare
Save “Show All” Load Case settings in a view. This enables you to check differences in all Load Cases during Model Compare (instead of having to create a separate view for each Load Case, and then comparing each one)
Easier Load input – Better feedback
•When placing a Load, the new pre-placement highlight clearly identifies the host element of the new Load.
•When hovering over several adjacent or overlapping host elements, use tab to switch to the desired one.
•Info tag available on Loads makes it easy to identify and select Load elements
•For any Load: check Load values, Load Case and coordinate system – at a glance!
•Find and Select Load elements by parameter
Display Load elements in Section/Elevations and Layouts
Load display now implemented in all model views, including Layouts, and Sections/Elevations.
