In Load Manager, select a Load Case to access its settings on the right.
Note: The selected Load Case becomes the visible Load Case for the current view.
Case Name
Each Load Case must have a unique name.
Action Type
Permanent
The Load is constantly present over the life of the building. Load size does not vary significantly over time.
For example: self-load of load-bearing element.
Variable
Load size varies significantly over time
For example: meteorological Loads (like snow)
Accidental
Short-term Load with significant effect
Unlikely to occur but cannot be excluded with complete certainty
For example: Collision, fire, explosion
Load Type for a Load Case
Choose a Load Type from the list to characterize the Load.
Concepts vary depending on standard definitions.
Duration
For Loads whose Load Type is Variable: Expresses duration of Load effect
In SAF: if Action Type = Variable, then the Duration value is required
