BIMcloud User License

Assign or revoke licenses; see license overview info

Each user needs a BIMcloud User License to do the following:

  • Access BIMcloud content from the browser

  • Share, open or join a Teamwork project from Archicad or BIMx

Note: You only need one BIMcloud license to do all of these functions, even simultaneously.

A BIMcloud User License is automatically assigned to the user when they join a Teamwork project in Archicad - provided that a license is available. If there are no more available BIMcloud User Licenses, then the user can only work offline.

Alternatively, an administrator can manually assign a license to the user, and also revoke it.

Open Licenses Panel

  1. Open the Servers page
  2. From the Navigator, select BIMcloud Manager.
  3. Open the Licenses panel.

This gives an overview about the currently used, available, and missing BIMcloud User Licenses.

As needed, use the filter to display only certain license types:



To select and edit multiple rows: click the arrow icon to the left of the filter:



Assign or revoke license



Select the a user from the list to manage their licenses.

Assign license(s)

Assigns a license to the user manually. This remains permanently assigned to the user even after he/she closes all projects on the BIMcloud or goes offline.

Revoke license(s)

An Administrator can revoke a manually assigned license. If available, an automatic license is then assigned to the user.

You can also assign or revoke a user’s license at User Settings (Users page).

Overview of licenses on your BIMcloud

Click the Details button to get overview info for all the licenses of your BIMcloud:



This opens the License Details tab page.



  • License Container: Source of the licenses (e.g. name of license server)

  • Number of licenses available/in current use

  • Type of license (e.g. FULL, EDU)

  • Expiry date
