Using Redshift Renderer (Tech preview)

The new Redshift renderer (GPU based) from Maxon, based on Maxon’s R23 engine, is included in Archicad as a Technology Preview, with limitations.

As a GPU-based renderer, Redshift brings significant benefits in terms of performance compared to Cinerender.

At the current stage of development, separate Redshift parameters have not been implemented in Archicad. Instead, Redshift makes use of the corresponding Cinerender parameters where applicable.

Requirements for using Redshift

As of Archicad 25 (Update 2) and Archicad 26: Redshift is a Technology Preview feature available for users with an SSA/Forward agreement.

For system requirements, see this link:

A high-end graphics card with 8GB VRAM or more is required.

Activate Redshift in Archicad

1.Go to Document > Creative Imagine > Photorendering Settings.

2.Set the Engine to “Cineware by Maxon”

3.Set the Renderer to “Redshift”
