Which Design Options are part of the Hotlink source file?

If the hotlink source is a .pln file

All Design Options and Option Combinations, plus the Main Model, are part of the source file. When you place the Hotlink, you choose which Options or Combinations to place. See Choose which Options to place (from source file).

If the hotlink source is a .mod file

When you save or publish a model or view in module (.mod) format, use the Save Options dialog (“Filter Elements” controls) to filter which Design Options should be part of the file.

If the hotlink source is a .mod file saved from selected elements

If you used “Save Selection as Module” to create a .mod file:

•Only the selected elements are saved into the module, with their Option Status (the Option they belong to)

•Exception: Associative elements (Door, Window, Skylight, Wall End) will always be saved into the module with their host Wall or Roof, regardless of their Option Status.
