Editing Custom Library Parts and Components

There are two ways to edit a GDL object saved from ArchiCAD elements:

1.Edit its script

See Editing the Script of a GDL Object.

2.Keep the original ArchiCAD elements from which you have saved the GDL library part. This way, you can edit those elements and re-save the library part (overwriting its previous version.)

To keep the original elements available for later use, you can do one of the following.

•place them on a separate layer, then hide that layer

•save them in a separate PLN file

•save and export them as a module (.mod file)
