Keynotes

Keynotes are a documentation and noting system, based on a database of identification keys and their data (title, description, reference).

Using Keynotes (instead of ordinary text and Labels) ensures consistent note format and content throughout the documentation.

Create and organize Keynotes using a hierarchical folder structure on the Keynotes palette.

Place Keynotes with the Label and Text tools: Keynote data is available via autotext, so the data is refreshed automatically

On Layouts, you can place a customizable Keynote legend, which lists all Keynotes, or just Keynotes visible on the drawings

The Keynotes palette serves as a single entry point for the entire Keynote feature set - from management through Label assignment to Legend placement. Here the users can manage their Keynote database with the usual management functions (create, duplicate, delete, edit, arrange, search, import/export keynotes and folders); place Labels with the selected Keynotes; and place a Legend on the Layout to display related data.

The palette also displays Keynotes from hotlinks, and indicates any conflict with Keynotes from the hotlink file. Keynote functions also work in Teamwork.
