An MEP System is a saved set of the fills, lines, and surfaces used to display MEP routes and MEP Library elements.
MEP Systems are attributes of the Archicad project.
•Each route is assigned an MEP System at the top of the Route Settings dialog. See Route Settings - main page.
Note: When you connect a route element to a standalone MEP object, the route element automatically “inherits” the object’s MEP System, instead of using the MEP System set for the route element.
•Assign MEP System to Terminal, Accessory, and Equipment in the element settings: see MEP-compatible Objects in the Archicad Library.
Define or Edit MEP System Attribute
Define or edit MEP Systems at
•Design > MEP Systems
•Options > Element Attributes > MEP Systems
(or use the MEP Systems shortcut from the MEP Engineering Toolbar).
Use or edit the predefined MEP Systems, or create new ones.
Use with: Check one or more Route types that should use this MEP System:
•Ductwork
•Pipework
•Cable Tray
Based on this Use with definition, MEP Systems are available for the corresponding Route element, at the top of its Route Settings dialog.
Use the controls to set fills, lines, and surfaces for the current MEP System.
