Supported MCP Tools
The following groups of MCP tools are currently supported:
- Model Query - Querying the BIM model using natural language to locate relevant elements, zones, views, and project information.
- Data Extraction & Analytics - Extracting structured data, element counts, quantities, spatial relationships, and statistical breakdowns by story, layer, zone, or classification.
- Element Inspection - Reading element properties, parameters, attributes, classifications, and relationships across selections or the wider model.
- Batch Edits & Parameter Operations - Modifying element properties, parameters, and attributes through preview-and-confirm workflows, including find-and-replace. Parameter transfer is only available when applying a Favorite to elements; however, the Favorite must be saved manually first.
- Teamwork Operations - Reserve or release elements to enable editing.
- Favorites & Attribute Application - Applying parameters and standardized configurations from elements or Favorites to selected elements, element default settings, or model-wide targets.
- Property & Classification Management - Creating, reading, and modifying project-level property definitions and managing their assignments.
- Keynote Management - Managing keynote databases independently of individual element assignments.
- Model Health & Quality Assurance - Detecting geometry anomalies, missing or deleted attributes, broken library part references, high-polygon objects, and similar common BIM model quality issues.
- Command Execution - Mapping natural-language descriptions to Archicad menu commands and executing them in context, turning the full command set into a conversational interface.
More MCP tools will be added seamlessly over time as new capabilities become available. Users will receive an update notification whenever additional tools are added.
You can ask the AI Assistant or your connected AI tool which MCP tools are available and request a description of what each tool can do. For example, you can ask: “What MCP tools are currently available?”
All model-changing actions remain subject to explicit user approval before execution, and every modification is applied as a single undoable operation. Any deleting is currently not available to avoid any loss of data.
